Former Postdoctoral Fellow
Shay Ben-Haim has completed a PhD in cognitive psychology and a PhD in medical sciences (computational) at TAU. In a joint postdoc together with Ran Hassin, Laurie Santos, and Steve Chang @ Yale, he attempted to tackle one of the toughest questions of all -- that of animal consciousness. In a combined effort and a unique study design, the study demonstrated evidence for non-conscious and conscious perception in rhesus monkeys (Ben Haim et al., PNAS, 2021). After completing his postdoc, Shay joined the Hebrew University School of Public Health as a faculty member, and currently combines computational and statistical tools to study epigenetics and health-related questions.
